Maestro Ricard Lamote’s role as assistant conductor of the Barcelona Municipal Band and tutor of musicians returned years later when he took the post of  assistant conductor when the Valencia Municipal Orchestra was founded. The conductor and music director of this orchestra was his father, Maestro Joan Lamote. It is no surprise to find short pieces, such as this one by Maestro Ricard Lamote, which allowed him to listen to the different instruments of the orchestra.
