Three Miniatures

Originally composed for the dedication of a new music building at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, these pieces have been performed often by Howard Niblock, oboist, and Margaret Brooke, cellist (including a special event at the Michigan Music Festival in the resort village of Saugatuck, Michigan). They are light, refreshing glimpses into the possibilities of combining wind and string timbres.
