Jordi Lluch Bellón was born in Alboraia (Valencia, 1984) where he started his musical studies in music theory and bassoon. Later he attended the conservatories Joaquín Rodrigo, José Iturbi, and Conservatori del Liceu. In the latter, he was a member of the institution bassoon quartet, with which he premiered his works Tutte le Forme and Petit Guinyol. He has participated in numerous festivals and competitions with different bands.

Self-taught in composition and orchestra conducting (he has attended conducting courses with maestro Ros Marbà as a listener, and he will attend future orchestra conducting courses with Luis Cobos and Arturo Tamayo), he has a catalogue of more than 70 compositions which include symphonic music, symphonic-choral music, vocal music, lied, chamber music, incidental music, and music for band. He won the 3rd prize of the concurso de composición coral of the Coral Polifónica de Getafe.

At the present he lives in Barcelona and

mainly works in Catalonia.



He has published more than 15 of his pieces with publishing companies such as Boileau, Tripharia, Dinsic, Brotons & Mercadal, Tot per l’Aire and Periferia Sheet-Music.

He writes for the magazine La Porta Clàssica, and he has published several articles on contemporary creation and the figure of the composer today, in Internet. As a composer, he is a member of ACC and SGAE.
