Pepita Llunell
Pepita Llunell i Sanahuja was born in Barcelona. She could be considered a prodigee, as she had already appeared on stage singing and reciting at the age of three, before having begun school. This was in the Centro Católico de Sants.

At 9 years of age, she enrolled in the Conservatori del Liceo, where she studied ‘solfeo’, piano and singing, combining these superior studies with Catalan and Spanish declamation at the Institut del Teatre. Later, she finished her musical studies at the Escola Municipal de Música de Barcelona. When she was about 9 or 10 years old, she also became a member of the youth group of Radio Barcelona, and was the main actress of the Mozart Hall children’s theatre.

While still a teenager, she made her premiere as a theatre professional and worked with a number of companies performing in the theatres throughout Barcelona and Catalonia.

Apart from theatre, Pepita Llunell has also appeared in films such as La Ciutat Cremada, La Plaça del Diamant, and Victòria, and in the films directed by Bigas Luna such as Tatuaje i Bilbao.
