Italian composer and violinist known for his instrumental music. Born and raised in Venice, where he composed most of his nearly 50 operas. Johann Sebastian Bach admired his instrumental works, some of which still perform frequently. Among them we should highlight the trio sonatas, concertos for one two oboes, and the concert of 1710 for violin and orchestra.
