Work composed to perform at first sight in the public examination to the professorship of bassoon of the National School of Music in 1873. It consists of two movements, Andante and Allegro animato, as usual for this type of testing was to write a slow and a fast movement. Antonio Romero published the score in 1878. It was arranged for flute, oboe and cornet with piano accompaniment by self Joaquín Valverde, and for clarinet by Antonio Romero.
