This edition is a contribution to the solo bassoon repertoire of eighteenth century Spanish composers. It is a work composed for the opposition bassoon of the Royal Chapel in 1780. 2 different copyists manuscripts are preserved in the Archivo General de Palacio in Madrid.

The original manuscript is made to be played with bassoon and violin. It has chosen the option of a harmonized support to facilitate their interpretation and dissemination in professional and academic fields. In this way it can be interpreted both as a duo (with accompanying bassoon or cello) or sonata in two movements (with piano accompaniment).

The original accompaniment of these sonatas is not a mere basso continuo, but idiomatically exploiting the resources of the instrument would exercise as a companion (the violin). passages appear in double strings, in bariolage, repeated notes, etc. they are not well suited for a keyboard instrument. Consequently, in carrying out the accompaniment small liberties we have taken to adjust the language resources keyboard.
