Luz-14 is a brief improvisation. Light has effects of clarity and illumination and the more adjectives it possesses the more its symbolic power increases. The sounds illuminated by this light are not uniform, they circulate from the light of reason to the depths of the heart. They are sounds that invent themselves to endow themselves with not only brightness, but, at the same time, of darkness, because the deficiency in the being is part of its essence. The piece explores the meaning of the near and the distant, the confusion or indetermination. Garcia Lorca warned us that "the light of the poet is the contradiction."

The number 14 appears in the work as the mysterium; It causes shock, astonishment, perhaps emptiness and darkness. However, as an enigma, it has the ability to illuminate. The fascinating character of its mystery promotes the feeling for the sacred.

The interpreter must try to have sound born of consciousness to become a sound in freedom. A freedom that is sometimes framed in measured time and, others, outside of it. It flows into the pure essences that occur in a compact formal structure.
