Concert for Double Bass and Wind Orchestra

In the orchestra, too often relegated to know a deep bass (low register) by notes taken and a few Pizzicatto. My challenge has been to write a concert highlighting all records of the bass, emphasizing their lyrical qualities on the fourth string, the depth of the first string sound, special effects, harmonics, Pizzicatto, glissandi, etc.., all the service of a concert where the orchestra plays an important role, either talking or accompanying the soloist.

Like any concert, show the maximum range of expressive possibilities of the soloist, has been my main concern. Anyway, the orchestra has a very active role, always keeping a balance with the soloist.
