This is a collection of pieces adapted to the subject of Ensemble in Elementary Music Education.

The scores are as follows: Pomp and circumstance (Military march nº 1); Joy to the world; O Tannenbaum;Campana sobre campana (Spanish folk song); ¡Ay del chiquirritín! (Spanish folk song).

They are orchestrated for a flexible ensemble, four parts and percussion, taking special care of the tesitura of each individual part. The instrumentation can be tailored to a variety of groups: clarinet quartet, brass quintet, string quartet, string orchestra, mixed ensemble, orchestra, band etc. According to the group, the teacher should pay attention to the sound balance and the combination of different instruments to achieve the best sound. Each piece is preceded by a series of pitch and rhythm exercises that will facilitate the subsequent conclusion of the work. For the pieces that include chorus, it is advisable to coordinate with the Choir and to work together. However, they can also be performed as instrumental versions.


The distribution of the parts is as follows (each with its corresponding pitch):

Flute and violin I are the part A; oboe and clarinet are the part A and B; violin II and trumpet are the part B; alt saxophone are the part B and C; viola, French horn and tenor saxophone are the part C; bassoon, trombone, violoncello, euphonium, tuba and contrabass are the part D. The percussion are the timpani and pitched percussion; percussion I and II to separate. And choir’s part.

Optionally part: bass clarinet and baritone saxophone are the part D; clarinet in Eb are the part A.
