Description

The concert for timpani and symphony band is divided into an introduction-recitative, which leads us to the first theme of the concerto, with a brief fermata for the timpani. It then continues with a rhythmic allegro recalling the subject of the main theme, which, with a brief fragment, leads us to an adagio, over a brief cadenza that leads us to the first fanfare, which leads into the second theme of the concerto. A third theme leads us to a second fanfare and a bridge recalling the main theme of the concerto, leading to the final coda.

The concerto is dedicated to Manuel Climent Francés.
