Jordi Ripoll Corella

He is a Higher Professor of Music specializing in bassoon, he studied at the R.C.S.M. from Madrid. He has a master’s degree in teacher training at the Complutense University of Madrid and a Postgraduate Specialist in Theater and Performing Arts at the University of the Basque Country.

He has published his compositions and arrangements in different European publishing houses such as GTE Música, Hafabra Music, WINDMUSIC and Musicvall, Edicions Musicals.

Likewise, in his role as composer he has also explored various genres, from traditional music to symphonic music for both band and orchestra.

His experience in the field of wind instruments has been essential to make, above all, arrangements and transcriptions of orchestral pieces for symphonic band.

Professional and amateur music bands have performed his works, highlighting the Municipal Bands of Barcelona, Bilbao, Castelló, Palma de Mallorca or the Santa Cecilia de Cullera and the Unió Musical del Center Històric de València among others.

In the teaching field, he has been a professor of bassoon and chamber music at various conservatories such as the “Manuel Carra” in Malaga or the “Joaquín Rodrigo” Conservatory of Music in Valencia. As well as in the municipal music schools of Bilbao and Getxo, among others.

He is a teacher of the Bilbao Municipal Music Band specializing in bassoon, occupying the position of soloist for more than twenty years. Previously, he has worked with a multitude of bands, symphony orchestras, opera and chamber ensembles.
