
Roberto Pérez Moreno
He was born in Montroy where he began his musical studies at the Sociedad Unión Artística Musical, of which he would later be its director (2008-2011). He studied at the “Joaquín Rodrigo” Higher Conservatory of Music in Valencia, obtaining the Extraordinary Final Year Honor Award unanimously from the court. Later he would join the Corps of Music Teachers of the Ministry of Education and Science, working in the conservatories of Puertollano, Sabiñánigo and Calahorra.
Later he joined the Córdoba Orchestra. He has worked with important performers and directors such as: L. Brouwer, Andrés Orozco, Pablo Heras, J. Pons, E. Colomer, E. García Asensio, H. Griffits, K. A. Rikenbacher, M. Schostakovich, Alberto Zedda, G. A. Noseda, V. Amido, M. Sanlúcar, Ainhoa Arteta, M. Caballé, Alfredo Kraus, performing in the main concert halls and Opera such as: the Tratro de la Maestranza in Seville, the National Auditorium in Madrid, the Filarmonie in Cologne, the Musikverein in Vienna.
With the Córdoba Orchestra he has recorded more than 30 recorded CDs and more than 100 recordings for Radio Nacional de España, highlighting Mozar’s Sinfonía Concertante, conducted under the direction of J. B. Pomier, and W. A. Mozart’s Concerto for Clarinet di Bassetto and Orchestra, with Lorenzo Ramos conducting.
He has collaborated with the Galician Symphony Orchestra and the National Orchestra of Spain, among others. In 2014, he was the first clarinet of the Flanders Opera (Belgium), performing at its headquarters in Antwerp and Ghent. He has been a ESO music teacher at the prestigious Julio Verne School; clarinet teacher at the professional conservatories of Torrent, Carcaixent, Requena, Vall d’Uxó, Castelló, Utiel, Valencia; and Professor of clarinet at the “Óscar Esplá” Superior Conservatory of Music in Alicante and the “Joaquín Rodrigo” Superior Conservatory of Music in Valencia. He regularly premieres works composed and dedicated to him by his uncle, Juan Pérez Ribes; by R. Carrión Ferrís, and his own compositions.
He is currently part of the Turab Ensemble and since 2019 he has been Professor of Clarinet at the “Salvador Seguí” Superior Conservatory of Music in Castellón.
He is an artist for the Selmer and Vandoren brands.
