Description

The Wedding March (1842) was created by Felix Mendelssohn, included in his ballet A Midsummer Night’s Dream and set to Shakespeare’s play of the same name.
It is one of the most used wedding marches. In Anglo-Saxon countries it is usually played at the beginning or end of the wedding – depending on the bride and groom – and also accompanied by Wagner’s wedding march (included in his opera Lohengrin).
